🐡 1. The Pufferfish Boss (Island 3 Main Boss)
PRIMARY STORY GATE👁️ What it looks like: A massive, inflated golden-yellow spiked beach ball with black spots. It is 3x larger than the player character with protruding spines and bulging comedic eyes.
📍 Where it is: Island 3, deep oceanic drop-off trench off the coast.
🧰 What you need: Carrot Bait (traded from the Hermit NPC) + a mid-game rifle or SMG with extra ammo crates.
⚔️ How to fight (Safe Spot): Cast Carrot Bait into deep water. Once summoned, do not stay on flat sand — climb onto the Hermit Cabin's rooftop or thick palm tree trunks. The boss will roll in aggressive circles but cannot reach high ground. Unload full magazines of AR fire.
🚨 Critical Objective: Pick up the dropped Pufferfish Tail (Bone Trophy) and escort it to the Hermit NPC. Have teammates fire anti-air bursts to prevent seagulls from stealing the trophy mid-transit!
🦈 2. The Giant Shark Boss (Open Sea Military Event)
OPEN OCEAN EVENT👁️ What it looks like: A terrifying 30-foot predatory Great White shark with mechanical battle scars and razor-sharp dorsal fins slicing through ocean waves.
📍 Where it is: Deep ocean boundary between Island 2 and Island 3.
🧰 What you need: Radio / Transceiver (listens for "Located a big creature" military broadcast) + Tier 2/3 Engine Upgraded Boat + Purple SMGs or Heavy Harpoons.
⚔️ How to fight: Keep the boat turning in wide continuous semi-circles to avoid direct hull ramming. When the shark leaps out of the water to bite, concentrate fire on its snout and gills. If a teammate gets knocked into the water, press E near the ladder immediately to save them from being eaten in one bite.

🦅 3. The Terrorizing Bird (Sky Raid Boss & Rocket Boat Glitch)
RANDOM RAID EVENT👁️ What it looks like: A massive mythical raptor bird with an enormous wingspan that casts huge shadows over island settlements.
📍 Where it is: Open skies above Island 1 and Island 2 villages.
🧰 What you need: Combat Shotgun ($150) or SMG ($350) with wide projectile spread.
⚔️ How to fight: Stay underneath wooden hut overhangs to prevent being grabbed by talons. When the bird screams and initiates a dive-bomb attack, lead your aim by 2 body lengths with shotgun spread fire to repel it. Unlocks the "Terrorizing bird" achievement.
🚀 Secret Physics Glitch ("I'm the bird now"): Park your wooden boat near the surf and let the bird grab the edge of the hull. The physics engine will glitch and launch your boat hundreds of feet into the atmosphere! Staying inside the flying boat unlocks the rarest secret achievement: "I'm the bird now"!
🪱 4. Swamp Piranha Swarms & Leech Gatekeeper (Island 2)
MID-GAME GATE👁️ What it looks like: Packs of razor-toothed red-eyed jumping piranhas and black slippery mud leeches.
📍 Where it is: Island 2 murky mud swamps and sunken log mangrove areas.
🧰 What you need: Shotgun + Leech Bait gathered from mudbanks.
⚔️ How to fight: Use shotgun spread to blast piranhas as they leap out of the swamp towards your boat. Gather leeches to craft the quest bait needed to catch the Island 2 story fish and unlock the route to Island 3.
👥 4-Player Co-op Boss Battle Roles
The Camp Chef
Keeps campfires running, grills fish for team stamina (grilled catches sell for up to 1.5x), and feeds players mid-fight so hunger bars never hit zero.
The Sharpshooter
Wields Assault Rifles & Purple SMGs. Focuses 100% of firepower on boss weakspots and snipes incoming loot-stealing seagulls.
The Boat Captain
Pilots Tier 3 upgraded boat, kites Shark and Piranha attacks, and provides mobile water respawn points for fallen teammates.
The Quest Angler
Equips quest baits (Leech/Carrot), hooks the boss from deep water, and safely carries the boss tail trophy back to the NPC.

Dazed Games has tuned several bosses and creatures based on player feedback. Restart Steam to make sure you are on the latest balance:
- Pufferfish — nerfed in Patch 1.0.4 (August 21, 2026).
- Whale — nerfed in the same Patch 1.0.4.
- Anglerfish — nerfed slightly in Patch 1.0.10 (August 27, 2026) because it had too much health.
- Piranha — rebalanced in Patch 1.0.12 (September 4, 2026).
- Tuna — nerfed slightly in Patch 1.0.12.

A: If a seagull carries the tail away into the sky, shoot it down immediately with an SMG before it despawns over the ocean. If lost permanently, you must catch another endangered fish, trade for a new Carrot Bait, and summon the boss again.
